Thank you to all of our wonderful adopters, supporters, staff, and volunteers! 2017 is off to a great start! So far this year, we have placed 278 animals into loving homes and will continue to work tirelessly to make 2017 an exceptional year for the pets and people of Southeast Texas!
I have been honored to serve as the new Executive Director of the Humane Society of Southeast Texas (HSSET) since October, and I am fully dedicated to assisting HSSET as we continue to rebuild and grow our programs and services. As a lifelong advocate of increased standards for animal welfare and humane education, I am excited to work with a dedicated and compassionate organization where I can help local pets and people in need.
As we look to the future with a new shelter facility, we are excited about the tremendous opportunities ahead. HSSET is more than just temporary housing for homeless and abandoned pets. We are a place where people can find happiness and companionship through new connections with our shelter residents.
I am fortunate to work in this field where staff and volunteers diligently devote their efforts to rescue animals in need. I encourage you to get involved and stay connected with us as we work to place even more animals and to provide more programs and services than ever before. Whether serving as a volunteer for a few hours a week, providing a temporary home through our foster program, or donating to help offset the cost of our animals’ needs, I hope you will get involved. It is such a rewarding experience to see the animals find their wonderful, forever homes and the smiles of their families when they do.
I look forward to getting to know all of you, our supporters, over the coming months. On behalf of HSSET, I thank you for your kindness, generosity of spirit, and tremendous support. Thank you for helping us become a compassionate and respected voice for homeless animals. It is only through your support that we are able to serve the community pets and people in need. We can’t do it without you!
